I am trying out this blog advertising service called Linkworth. Frankly I do not like their interface as it is cramped with too many details and cumbersome to use. But the main strength of Linkworth is the different types of services that they provide. You have LinkPost (which is essentially paid blogging), LinkInText (inline text advertising similar to Kontera) and you have the traditional text link ads and banner advertising similar to TLA. I signed up for LinkPost and I received two job offers worth USD20 each from them. Wow, that’s a mind-blower.
A new source of income for me, remains to be seen as to how they will pay me, though. How about you, have you tried LinkWorth yet?
Thank you for visiting Blogging For Money. If you are a new visitor, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Enjoy!

Someone recommended me to a post at the Warrior Forum which lists out fifty ways for you to drive traffic to your website or blog. It is certainly a great list that is worth putting into practice. I have been doing some of the tips that was recommended in the list and I can say that they have worked for me. So I am sure it will work for you as well.
Here’s the article. Make sure you pay special attention to #50, it’s the best!

Once you’ve updated your blog, you should let blogging services know that your blog has peen updated. You do this by sending a ping to the service. What services do you use to ping your blog if any? If you use WordPress as your blogging platform, they include automatic pinging through Ping-O-Matic. However you can also do manual pinging like I do. I have complied a list of ping services that I regularly use. Here is a small list of such pinging services.
Using these services regularly for your blog will eventually result in higher traffic. Be warned that you should not over ping your blog, otherwise you will be penalised and your blog banned from the service.
Incoming search terms:
- ping generator
- ping traffic generator
- free ping generator
- ping packet generator
- traffic generator for blog

Ah, its news like this that makes me aware of the problems and tribulations of being a full-time blogger. Really.

Sorry to hear about this, Hong Kiat. I hope you have a backup of your database and restore your WordPress blog posts. Make sure you fix the security issue too. Its a wake-up call for me to fix mine as well.

It took an incident like this to actually force me to go out and replace my monitor to a LCD screen at last. Actually I wanted to hold it off until August, where I plan to go out and get a new system along with a LCD screen. But in light of the emergency, I guess it cannot be helped.
And I bought this for RM595.00, all of that came from the money I earned solely from blogging.

What was inside in the box? Well, this is now sitting proudly on my table now.

Congratulations, I knew that you would do it sooner or later. I only wonder why you did not do it earlier, thats all, considering your success as a blogger for the past few months or so. With Hong Kiat, it was not a matter of if and why but when.
Maybe those of us who are going for blogging full-time and earning money from it should form some sort of association. Association of Probloggers?

So I finally got the Bluehost refund after cancelling my hosting package with them, even though I was actually expecting it to be later. They refunded me through PayPal. I am going to use part of the refund for my promotional campaign for my web directory and bid for position directory. I am expecting both to hit at least a PR6 and PR5 respectively in the next Google update. A higher PR means more $$$, and more $$$ means wedding bells.
Heh.
As we approach the final week of May, I will be doing some basic accounting to see how much I’ve earned from my problogging/web directories/text link ads/PPC activities this month. This is turning out to be the best month ever. I will publish the results on this blog and see whether I have met my personal target of $2K (in USD, not Ringgit) this month.
