I am contemplating breast reduction surgery and I am wondering if anyone can tell me what questions to ask my surgeon. He was referred to me by my regular doctor and is with the university health system where I live.

He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and specializes in breast reduction and reconstruction.

Is there a place where I can find any complaints about him? What about typical questions that I should be asking? Anything else I might be forgetting?

      Thanks a bunch!

I had breast reduction surgery and initially everything went fine. A week after my healing I started bleeding from underneath my right breast. I lost 30% of my blood and had to be ambulanced to the hospital. My Plastic Surgeon was called in and he did an emergency surgery on me at the hospital. He said that a vein somehow popped and he had to operate on it and clean it out. Afterwards he did NOT stich my right breast up…he said that it needed to drain! Well it has been a week, underneath my right breast is wide open, all you see is white flesh meat, blood, and tissue! I don’t know what to do. I am devestated. It has a horrible odor, as well as a lot of discharge. When I spoke to him about it, he spoke as if it is not serious and says that he needs it to stay open to drain. I do not feel comfortable with this, I am upset, and I would love to hear from a Platic Surgeon on here if you have ever heard of this. Thank you!

I am 21 years old, 5″2 and have H cup breasts. My first question is to anyone who lives in Ct if they could recommend a good plastic surgeon. I am looking for someone who will talk to me about my options without trying to constantly sell me their services even if your surgery wasn’t a breast reduction. To the women who have had a breast reduction in Ct are you satisfied with how your breasts look afterward and could you recommend a good doctor.

Our daughter is 12 years old (turns 13 in July) and we are not pleased with her breast size and general attitude and sinful appearance and behavior.

We have warned her specifically about her breasts multiple times in the past 2 months that she needs to wear the tighter restraining sports bra that my wife purchased for her that is designed to keep their appearance smaller and not as rude. She makes up bogus complaints about “uncomfortable” and so forth with her obvious motivation to sin and have her breasts protrude to unacceptable amount in order most likely to attempt to lure male classmates to commit sin looks at her and we are very angry with her. She has also refused to repent on multiple occasions for this even in the presence of our priest when we took her for priest counsel. It has brought my wife to tears and I am extremely frustrated.

Anyway, we and our priest have decided that since she is unwilling to change her behavior, and we have tried everything else without success, we are going to have her have a breast reduction procedure. However our problem is that we are unable to find a plastic surgeon who is of our faith. Does anyone know how we can find a good plastic surgeon that is strict Baptist, we will not allow our daughter in personal presence with non Baptists as we do not take kindly to pollution from outsiders who tend to impose sin and pollute our good family, particularly our daughter, who seems to have had outside influences that have corrupted her, and given us these trying times in the first place.

      Thank you.

Specifically, if you could tell me about possible side effects, scars, bruising, any problems you have experienced, whether long term or short term.. Should I look for a cosmetic surgeon or plastic surgeon?
Does Board Certification matter? Any info you can give me would help.
      Thanks in advance.

I am a 35 year old woman and I have been considering getting a breast reduction surgery. I am pretty sure my insurance will cover it. I am a size 38K…
I have been attending the chiropractor for months now because of back pain.

My question is…. how do I go about getting the insurance to cover it. Do I need to get my Primary Care Physician to recommend it? Or do I just go to the plastic surgeon and hope that the insurance does not balk at it? I just dont want to end up with a nasty surprise of a bill of several thousand dollars after it is all over.

Secondly… what can I expect with this surgery. I understand for such a drastic change ( I want to go to a C cup) that it will involve remoiving the entire nipple and removing the breast portion and then resewing it back on. But what else can I expect …i.e. recovery time… potential problems…. etc.

Hi, if you can have any plastic surgery what will you like to change about yourself …. answer frankly.
this is a hypothetical question, so no anti-plastic surgery critics.
i just want to know what is the most common thing people hate about themselves and why.

I think these celebrities are fake. Look at Michael Jackson. He was a handsome guy before he became white!!! Many celebrities are obsessed with plastic surgery! If I saw them in person, I would think I was on acid because they look like Barbie dolls. Bjork is my favorite celebrity today, she didn’t go under the knife and she is beautiful. Who agrees that celebrities are losing their appeal and becoming fake zombies?

Does anyone know any certified plastic surgeons that would do a breast reduction surgery ,a tummy tuck and maybe something else small and charge it to the insurance company as a breast reduction surgery?
Would they help you get approved?

I lost a bunch of weight and I have very big breasts which did a nose dive afterwards. I want a breast reduction with a lift but my insurance will only pay if they can take off 500 grams of tissue which would leave me at a small B so I have to pay for it myself if I want a C cup. I don’t have the $10,000. Anyone know anyone or a way to get a freebie or minimal cost surgery? I worked hard to lose the weight, took over 2 years, so am very disappointed in my insurance not covering this in a reasonable way. Can you help me find a way? Thanks!
