Since cloud computing is looking more and more like the “next big thing”, I’d like to know what relevant certifications are out there in the market that would jumpstart my career in cloud computing. I don’t know where to start since a quick google would yield thousands of results.

For an assignment in university I’ve been asked to perform a presentation on cloud computing. I have finished most of it, however I cant find a source on what hardware is used to make it possible. If anyone could help it would be amazing I really am stuck at this point.

      Thanks, Jack

cloud computing is the wave of the future but who really benefits from its use? Is it any startup that uses servers or is it more seasoned and sophisticated companies with major storage requirements?

I’m confused on its difference between the Internet. My opinion on cloud computing is sharing of resources over the web. But that’s what internet is giving us too, right? Any help would be appreciated.

Upon hearing about Google’s Chrome OS test run, I got to wondering about the advantages and disadvantages of having an operating system based entirely around a web browser. Obviously, if you don’t have any internet connection, your computer is rendered useless (some would argue that without internet computers are useless anyway). But, aside from that, I really can’t figure out the downside to this. Do Microsoft and Apple need to watch themselves when the stable version is released in spring of 2011 or will it be a flop?

I’m not even sure if there is a hardware system. I think there’s only a software system. But which type of system is used for the hardware/software in cloud computing.

I also think maybe there are various types of systems depening and if that’s the case please just don’t say that just give me one type.

even though a business will you the servers from the companies, don’t they still need to have a local back up?

In cloud computing, jobs from users are handled by middleware which optimizes the utility of cloud computing.Middlewares rely on job scheduling alogrithms and thus balance the load on cloud servers.so, is there any proper/general algorithms which most of the middleware use?

I’m trying to understand more about technology, and from what I know so far, cloud computing is a “plum-pudding” model of information access. By that I mean there is a pool of computing giants (such as Microsoft and Google) that allow their users to have access to their services, but not know anything about how that information came to be. If this is wrong, please explain that in your answer too.

My question specifically asks that if so many different users can access the information that anyone else can access, how is security even possible?

I have two computers which use windows, and I have internet access in both of these computers. For a project I need to simulate the concepts of cloud computing, by setting up these machines in a cloud. Is it possible and how do I go about it?

Thanks! I need a push on how to go about doing this the right way.
