Cranking up the PayPerPost machine

Posted on Friday, April 6th 2007 11:54 pm by menj in Offbeat

I’m starting to do paid blogging for PayPerPost again at full power after a month’s absence (no thanks to that lousy ISP we all love to hate). I lost nearly USD 800 worth of income last month from paid blogging with PPP but I think I can mitigate the loss if I fill up the PayPerPost alloted slots to each of my blogs for the whole month. Theoretically, that would mean that since I have six blogs accepted into PayPerPost, and if I were able to grab USD5 posts for all the slots, that would mean 6 blogs x 3 slots x USD 5 = USD 90 per day, which would amount to 90 x 30 days = USD 2700 a month.

See how much money I am sitting on now?

Theoretically speaking lah. Since I am not a machine and I certainly won’t be able to fill up the slots in the blogs, I would be lucky if I could even get half of that amount.

Thanks Menj, for the link. I’ll add urs too pronto. And yes, all the while i was wondering where the heck u’ve gone to. No bayang on PPP wann, lol. Glad to see you back on the top 10 earners list. U have 6 blogs, i have 4 and i think cukup lah. Beh tahan adi, lol. The lack of opps also a damper. Waste time staying up and losing beauty sleep in the process. HUGS…. Menj

I was just browsing the web and learned that people can get paid for blogging. lol Sounds great to me.

I found a website called “PayPerPost”. It is a website to get jobs to get paid for blogging. I am a little hesitant though because it says “You are here to make money so a valid TAX ID (either social security number for individuals or an EIN for companies) is required for US citizens.”

Has anyone done this?? How can check this out to see if it safe to give out my social security number to them?

So I came across and signed up with my blog It didn’t ask for any private information and it seems legit, linked up to my blog site and says I just have to wait for offers from advertisers and then I can start making $$ from writing my blogs.

Does anyone have any experience with this? do you know if it works? I don’t expect to make copious amounts of money from this but I would like to know if its possible to make small amounts over time..

Recent sites like PayPerPost and ReviewMe are offing to pay bloggers for writing reviews of various websites and services. What do you think of this?

I’m a stay at home mother and I need to make a little bit of money before the end of April so I can get my husband a birthday present. I can’t put my child in daycare to work, so it will have to be something I can either do at home or somewhere that I could bring my baby.. And I’m not interested in any of those online scams that require a fee to give you a job. Any suggestions?

Sorry, for the question that sounds dump. I just need an idea where can I begin.

Thank you so much in advance

I am in a very depressing financial situation, seems like nothing I do is helping! Not looking for the easy way out, just doesnt seem like I am making any headway. Was considering trying the online stuff for extra income, but dont have money to just toss away on some scam or something that wont create results. Am also wondering about govt grants, but am also skeptical of them for the same reason. Seems they always want the money up front with no gaurantees.
