GoDaddy is known as an extremely popular registrar of domain names. Many people transfer domains in bulk (or just single domains) to GoDaddy because the cost is relatively cheaper and the site is reliable. Many sites that are critical of domain registrarsclaim that GoDaddy is a safe and secure site for transferring domains. Bulk transferring of domain names at Godaddy is considered better than transferring single domain names, since the cost is considerably less. Otherwise, GoDaddy is a good choice even if you want to transfer single domain names.
Here is our guide to show you how to transfer your domain name to GoDaddy.

So you want to host a website? That is easier said than done, of course. You need to purchase hosting space from a website hosting company so that you are able to store your website files and publish your content on the internet. Choosing a reliable website hosting company, however, is never an easy thing to do. Over the years, I have experience with various hosting companies and I can say that not all of them offer equal service. It depends really on how well they are run or how they are sensitive to their clients’ needs. I have had good hosting providers which I have loyally hosted my websites with and bad hosting providers which I’ve dumped years ago.

I’m buying yet another domain name, participating in a domain name bulk auction at a well-known domain names forum. The owner seemed anxious to sell his domain names, since he started the bids at $1 with an increment of $2. I bidded for that particular domain name (after checking the Google PR, of course) for $1 and I am quite determined to get it, since the name sounds very commercial. The auction will end in a few hours’ time so unless there is a higher bid than mine, I will be a proud owner of a PR1 domain name for a mere $1.
Probably the cheapest domain that I’ve ever bought.

About four years ago, my old domain (the .net version of Critical Thoughts domain) was forcibly taken away from me when I wanted to renew it after the domain expired. The reason I could not do so earlier was because the domain was “locked” and therefore I was unable to transfer the domain to another registrar. So I decided to wait until it expires by itself but some criminal decided that the domain was worth something and decided to “legitimately” steal it from me.
Today I did a search for the domain and out of serendipity, I came across this auction. Man, that is how much the .net is worth? I wonder how much the .org will be then?

Have you ever wondered how old is the oldest .COM domain name in the world? Well, I found this webpage which lists out the 100 Oldest .COM domain names registered in the world. Its a very interesting list, I tried all of them to check out the domain name’s PR and they have a PR of at least 5.
The oldest domain name on the list was SYMBOLICS.COM and this domain name was registered on 15th March 1985 (I was five years old then
), however the domain PageRank is only 5. Another domain name I found on the list was SRI.COM, registered on 17th January 1986 and this domain name has a PageRank of 8! So I guess where PR is concerned, age does not count for much as a factor.

Malcolm was telling me about this domain registrar called Namecheap which supports credit/debit card payments as well as PayPal funds transfer for only USD8.88 per domain name on a yearly basis. I registered for an account and tried out the service.
Interface was intuitive and easy to use. I am happy to report that on the whole, I am very satisfied with the service. I bought two brand-new domain names with my PBB debit card and transferred ibnjuferi.net to it. It was very fast and efficient, payment was credited almost immediately. I would certainly suggest using Namecheap for your domain buying-spree needs.
Now its time to transfer some of the major domain names that I have to this new registrar….
