Flaming money-making blogs

Posted on Friday, April 20th 2007 3:21 pm by menj in Offbeat

Earl-ku of kukujiao.com started a blog post called Top 4 Lamest Money-Making Blogs (can I ask why are they only four?). Fortunately I guess this blog is not “lame” enough for him to be listed in the blog post and I guess I should thank my lucky stars for that.

Anyway, while I think its perfectly within his rights to state his opinion about money-making blogs, I don’t think some of his comments about those blogs listed are really fair. I’ve taken a look at them and I don’t think they are that bad. At least the bloggers themselves are honest about how much they earn. By the way, I started this “money-making blog” not to flaunt or brag about how much I earn, but to show others that it is possible to earn as much as a conventional paid salary from blogging and internet marketing activities alone. And I expect the “money-making blogs” list to grow as more people become aware of how they can earn from the internet so this rather new blog niche is here to stay, whether anyone likes it or not.

To be honest, I’m quite happy to receive criticism than praise. That way I’ll know how screwed up I am, LOL. I agree that it’s earl’s right to say what he said, though I don’t agree with him at all.

The first piece is geotagging each blog post on some sort of map.

The second piece is meshing those points on a map with other people. Essentially we’d like several members of our team to provide updates regularly and post their locations to the same map.

I wrote a new LiveJournal blog post about 20 minutes ago, and have Facebook set up to import my blog posts. It’s already imported all my old ones; how long does it take for Facebook to check for new blog posts, and to import them to my Facebook notes?

I am not looking for black hat SEO methods.
Do the major search engine frown upon submitting your post to smaller directories/search engines? Where are the best places to submit one’s new blogs? Are there any social media retweet clubs?
This blog post is about taking shortcuts.

When I view the RSS feed now it just shows the entry title as a link back to my blog post. I want the links within the actual post body to be displayed as links when I view the RSS feed as well. Right now it only shows these post links as text. Any ideas how to change this?

I’ve been using Deliver It to autopost my blog to social bookmarking sites but they don’t do digg and stumble upon. My question is:

Is there a way to auto post or auto syndicate my blog posts to digg and stumbleupon?

Thanks and any help would be appreciated

I have a diet blog i just started, i have about 3 posts, someone said i should start promoting i now. I thought i should wait until i had at least 10 posts and feedback from a few people in various forums before I promote it so maybe in 2 weeks. What do you think?

When I put them in all I get is a blank yellow video box when the blog posts, but I’ve seen others that are still able to show the content.
      What gives?
I know about checking and unchecking the HTML box when preparing the post, so its something else.

I post them, they get 1 or 2 views, and then no more. I would like my content to do more than just give me a few views…how do I get them on the search engines or something like that? Will no one ever go to my blog just because I don’t post every day?

I recently posted my Blogspot article to Facebook. It generated a lot of interest and as a result, it sparked off a lot of comments, almost to the point that it resembled a Forum. However. I want these comments to appear on my Blog, under the original article. Is there a method of transferring these comments?? I want to attract traffic to my Blog.

I’ve seen this kind of feature on a recipe blog once where the author lets his readers download a handy recipe (plus method) sheet in pdf format. He usually link it at the end of his blog posts. Readers can click on it and automatically download the pdf file and keep for future references. How to actually do this? I’m just not familiar with it. Thanks.

I have a WordPress blog and what I need is to rotate my blog posts over and over with a preset time interval. And also I’d like to shuffle my posts. Would RSS feeds pick up the rotated blog posts as new ones? Does someone have this PHP code? Thanks
