Google Adsense filters for Islamic website projects

Posted on Wednesday, August 1st 2007 12:47 pm by menj in PPC

Some Muslim brothers and sisters have expressed concern about the influx of the half-naked man religion websites and other undesirable, anti-Islam websites that appear in Google Adsense when they are using it for their online Islamic projects and looking to monetise it. Well, fortunately we can keep out these undesirable elements by the use of website filters which are available in the Google Adsense control panel. I have compiled the list that I am currently using and you can download that list (in .txt format) at the following URL.

http://www.ibnjuferi.net/filter.txt

It will keep out at least 60% – 70% of the Islamophobic and half-naked man religion websites that are rife through the Adsense system. Do be warned, however, that this method is not foolproof, as the half-naked man religion websites breed like rabbits and its hard to keep up with them all of the time. Therefore you should always be aware if such sites appear and update your filter list with the new URL should such sites keep appearing and escape the filters even despite applying it for your Google Adsense account.

How can I cancel my google adsense account and start all over with different name but the same web site? It’s all because I’ve had this google adsense account for more than 2 years and the traffic to my website is quite good, but I only earn US$0.00!! I suspect I’ve missed something at the registration process therefore I’d like to cancel it and start all over again. But how could I do that?

I have heard of other programs related to google adsense such as Adbrite, but I wanted to know which ones are more profitable and popular. Also, does yahoo have an adsense related program? Has anyone tried it?

How do you add google adsense text links to your youtube video page? I understand the google video units are just attached to the video itself, but how can you add the actual google text links to the page also?

I have two youtube accounts with a google adsense account. I have decided I want to opt out of Google Adsense completely with both youtube accounts.

I haven’t submitted any tax information to google adsense, and I’ve generated only $20 on it.

I’ve seen some google adsense blocks that have their ‘ads by google’ sign on top, and not on the bottom like regular ones do.

How do I achieve this? Do I have to be a ‘premium contributer’ ?

My wife and I are aware of Amazon Affiliates and Google Adsense as the best ways to make money from a website. Do you know of another ads, product selling, or affiliate program that does as well or better than these two?

I added google adsense to my blog. It shows ads in the preview from the search engine. When you go into the site there are no ads. When I add it as a gadget, it doesn’t show the adsense icon for me to move around in the layout. I already copied and pasted the code. Is there something I’m doing wrong? How do I know if it is working?
      I’m using blogspot.

I want to get good with Google Adsense and like products really fast so I can earn money. I know it is a gamble however, I would really like to know how I could make money with the program. Can you suggest any books that would teach me how to make money with such products and name a couple like products other than google adsense?

I notice there are a lot of Affiliate broker/networks (e.g. Linkshare) and also Google Adsense. I cant figure out what the benefit is in using those other networks like Linkshare vs. using Google Adsense….Wouldnt i always want to use AdSense since they are trusted?

I signed up for google adsense and most of the ads have to go for websites/blogs that I own. Is there a way to post them and earn money from posting on other sites, or any other ways?
