Google PR update at last

PageRank update

The wait for this latest update was one of the longest ever. Some people were even starting to speculate that Google might be doing away with visual Google PageRank updates altogether, based on the recent move by Google to remove PageRank data from Google Webmaster Tools.

Well all that speculation has now been proven to be wrong with this latest PageRank update from Google today. For those who would like to check their PageRank, there is a PageRank checker tool which you can use to check the information for your website. So how was your Google PageRank update?

    1. Hi, I’m having a problem with my laptop and I really don’t know what to do.. I already looked up on google, and it seems loads of people have this problem, but the answers weren’t helpful at all..

(I’m on my pc btw since I can’t get past the blue screen with errors on laptop)
This happened last night. My comp shut off (it does that a lot because of over heating) and when I restarted it, and gave me two options:

“Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition” or the Safe Mode.
I clicked the first one as usual and it took me to the loading black page with the Windows XP Icon on it, but after that, instead of taking me to the blue part where you pick which account to log on, it took me to a blue page with white writing. Here’s what it said:

“A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

      UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

If this is the first time you’ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware pr software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode, to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

      Technical Information:
      *** Stop: 0x000000ED (0x866D4700, 0xC0000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

That’s the error. I have NO idea what it says there.
Anyways i’ve tried Safe Mode, but it takes me to the same error page.

How can I check my software, hardware, or even uninstall any new programs (I installed The Sims 1 cuz I missed playing it, last night) if I can’t even get past that error page?
Also, on other forums it tells me to insert a Windows CD, well, here where I live, laptops don’t come with CDs. And then it said, if you don’t have a CD, download “this” onto your computer. Well HOW can I? I can’t get PAST that error page for the last time.

I was hopping someone here could help me and give me actual advice.. I’ve explained everything I think. No Windows CD, can’t uninstall anything because I can;t get past that page, and also I’m very “dumb” when it comes to this type of computer problems so I most likely wont understand you if you use difficult terms =
I can’t get my laptop fixed.. cuz my dad wouldn’t let me probably, so I have to do this myself…

    2. I just got a motorola cliq and have seen articles all over advertising the new update to google maps allowing navigation but when i go to google mobile it says to access the android market through my phone and download the latest google maps but when i do that google maps does not appear in the market. Is this becuase i am not on the Droid or is there some other problem that is not allowing me to find this new update?

    3. I know the last one was in july and they usually happen every three months. So is it at the end of october, maybe beginning of november?

    4. Or do you think Google has good intentions or a bit of both?

Keep in mind, Google does not make much money in China and this kind of publicity will probably increase revenue better than regular Chinese annual revenues for the company.

    7. Work recently “upgraded” our software and nobody, including the IT department, can download and install programs. I had previously used google sync quite happily to merge my work and personal calendars and view both at work and on my iphone. Is there any way to get this functionality without google sync?

    8. How can I cancel my google adsense account and start all over with different name but the same web site? It’s all because I’ve had this google adsense account for more than 2 years and the traffic to my website is quite good, but I only earn US$0.00!! I suspect I’ve missed something at the registration process therefore I’d like to cancel it and start all over again. But how could I do that?

    9. k i m in a very complicated situation.
So i type mi yahoo username into google and mi yahoo answers profile pops up….and a couple other accounts i made with other things but i havent used. and the questions that i answered also come up. so im trying to get that stuff outta google but i got no idea how to……ANY HELP?

    10. The blackout has forced a question: If Google, or another high-usage portion of the internet, were to change their policies to be more active in voicing their opinions about public matters in ways which you were either for or against, would they effectively have too much power over our democratic process?
Google can do other things to protest besides shutting down, however.

    11. I am abroad and far away from my home country but the ads that I get on Google or Facebook are in my language. How do Google or other websites know where I am from and what language I speak? I have even registered my Facebook account with my new location in a different country!

    12. yup! soon I will have my own band but dont know how to advertising.
Maybe you will be the first one who bought our album….?

    13. I have worked lot on my website but not able to get PR, please suggest how can we get PR for the website……………………..

    14. i’ve tried going onto other sites like it, tried here, tried youtubes, tried facebook… still little traffic… suggestions?
thanks for all the help, i’ll try some. but are there any free ways?
