Married at last

Who would have thought that being a full-time internet entrepreneur would have its fringe benefits? πŸ™‚ Never thought much of it either, but last Saturday I reached an important stage of my life: marriage. So now its pretty much official, we are now husband and wife and I am very glad that I decided to go on this career path of my choice. Without this, I doubt that I could have attained the financial freedom and stability that I have achieved now in order to proceed to marrying my wife.

Its a great feeling, knowing that you have tasted the fruit of your success, that all the hardship I’d faced when I first started out blogging full-time three years ago seemed like dream that is easily forgotten now. I just hope that I can achieve my hopes and dreams, with her at my side.

One of my best friends got married last week…at the reception there was meant to be me and three other girls sat at the table for the meal but they didnt turn up ..so it was just me sat at a massive table alone….she said sorry i cant move you to another table or move anyone else on your table as it will mess up my seating plans.
So for four hours i was sat on the table alone, whilst everyone around me were talking and laughing and having fun ..every hour she would walk up to me and say”are you having fun”and then walk away.
I didnt really know many people except her ,the groom and the best man(my ex who cheated on me) he could see me sitting on a table alone and eating alone for 4 hours,
I mean would it have been too much trouble to move a few people onto my table so i wasnt alone.
It was awful i felt like crying.
Would you be a bit angry aswell?

I got married last week and I would like to know what is necessary for me to change my last name in Puerto Rico. It isn’t common at home but I’d like to do it. =]

I have had to pay on my taxes the last two years. I remember when getting a return was nice and now I more financilly burdened, it seems. I just started a new job in Sept. 2007. I still work part time at my old job. If anyone can help me I just need a little advice. Tax stuff has always come sort of difficult to me.

Spouse (previously single) owned a home more than 3 years ago.

We were married in November, and purchase a house at that time. This was my second house, but this is her first house.

Can she still claim the credit?

Does the “3 years” count begin when you move in or when you close on the sale of your house? (This is a new construction, but the closing and payment is after the final inspection and the home is “ready”)
      (Adding details)
Can you define the term “occupy”? as in “For a home that you construct, the purchase date is the first date you occupy the home”? If one was still paying rent on a previous place, could that delay the occupation?

I am looking for a list of internet forums / discussion groups for small business owners and entrepreneurs.

Is anyone here familiar with any popular sites?

      Thanks!

I just got married last month. My husband and I are married, but filing separately because it works out better for our situation. I am filling out a new W-4 form for 2011. It gives three options:

      *Single

      *Married

*Married, but withhold at higher Single rate

Which of these do I choose if next year we will again be married, but filing separately?

I have already been approved as a sponsor in Canada and now it has been in the hands of the Canadian embassy in Havana since September 2005. I am terrified to be alone and pregnant. We were married last summer and I need him here with me. He is my love of my life and I have never met someone so wonderful in my entire life…Any suggestions?

I’m 53 years old and I got married last year a filipina of 26 years old. I have a good health, I don’t smoke and don’t drink, I’m slim, practicing sport every week since my youthfullness! Do you think if that’s possible for our couple to be always in love, in harmony and getting happiness for the rest of our life! Who can witness?

I want to take a new last name, but I DID NOT get married. What is the cost of a legal change of name in Pennsylvania if I am not taking a married last name?

My husband and I were married last September. We had a private civil service and want to hold the celebration with family and friends this summer. I am aware that it is not called a reception because it isn’t a celebration immediately after the service. I want it to be pretty formal, so would getting an actual wedding dress and having a “wedding party” be tacky or too late to do?

How would we word our invitations? Also, we never said our vows so could we repeat the ceremony in a church or elsewhere and what would it be called?

      Thank you!

I got married last year and my wife has a sole proprietorship LLC. I work fulltime. What is the best method to file for taxes, jointly or separately ? Will turbo tax help? Any resources which can clarify? I live in California.

      thanks

Its just my observation. It seems that women who are attractive marry last.

      Thanks.
Well, read it another time. It does make sense. From what I’ve seen and I have discussed it friends, beautiful women marry last. I noticed this also amongst my list of friends.
