My PR5 blog dropped its PR

Posted on Saturday, October 6th 2007 1:01 am by menj in Directories, Internet

For some strange reason, Google decided to make some sort of adjustment to their PageRank algorithm. The result of that was my flagship blog dropped its PR by -1 to PR4. I find it strange because this is certainly not an update and out of all my sites, only my blog has suffered from a decrease in PageRank for some strange reason. Fortunately my web directories did not suffer a tumble due to this change, although many directory owners have experienced a -1 tumble in their PR as well.

I was just wondering how can Google get profits by providing us a free researching system. We pay nothing and the google allows us to search free. How does it work??
      Thank you

Did the google phone come to Verizon Wireless? Is it the HTC DROID ERIS and/or the MOTOROLA DROID? Are there several versions for the google phone? Is the google phone different for each cellphone network? How much is it? I heard that is was coming to Verizon Wireless in the spring but I am not sure. If you know anything, please answer. I really want to know when the google phone is coming to Verizon Wireless and if it came out already.

Or do you think Google has good intentions or a bit of both?

Keep in mind, Google does not make much money in China and this kind of publicity will probably increase revenue better than regular Chinese annual revenues for the company.

      Hi,

I have recently launched a new website. I just want to know how long does it take for Google to recognize backlinks to my site. I am currently generating backlinks by posting on different forums, blog commenting and directory submission. It has been a week now but still there are 0 backlinks to my site according to Google.

Yahoo is relatively quicker than Google in recognizing backlinks. Does anyone have any idea how long does it take for Google to recognize backlinks to my website?

Is there a way that I can put different key words for different menus of each page?

I have a website with many menu bars. Somehow whenever I click different sections, all the same google ads appear. Each menu has a different characters, so I would like to customize ads for each sections. Is this possible to have different google ads for each page? Thanks.

I know how to use google for searching any keyword but when we search any keyword, search engines consider so many factors for SERPs such as back links, urls and titles of the pages. But I need to know how to search in google for the web pages which contain a specific phrase in the body of the page and not in the url or title.

How does Google, with it’s innovative culture (personal 20% time) and creative employees, make sure it’s employees remain loyal and do not run off with a great idea and embark on their own entrepreneurial start-up? If an employee has a great proprietary idea, is the idea his or Google’s? I don’t think confidentiality agreements and non-complete contracts are enough to prevent this from happeing. Anyone have an idea?

Have you ever disliked a person for some strange reason but just can’t quite figure out why you dislike him/her?

for its because of their their choice of words and the way they talk.
Sometimes I meet a person, and I can sense that I do not like him/her but I can’t quite put my finger on it as to why I dislike him/her.

My Google toolbar disappeared and I have to download it evertime I go online. My Yahoo toolbar always opens so I would like to import my bookmarks into Yahoo favorites. I have tried all the tips on the Google help area to make the toolbar reappear and none of them work. I am using Comcast Cable as my internet provider if that makes a difference.

How do you add google adsense text links to your youtube video page? I understand the google video units are just attached to the video itself, but how can you add the actual google text links to the page also?

I have never ever intentionally clicked on google ads. I always get the information I need thru the google search engine. And I am sure most people don’t click on them on a regular basis. How, then, do they make billions out of it?
