My web directory is booming

Posted on Monday, April 9th 2007 1:55 pm by menj in Directories

Well there is no doubt that the investment in a web directory of mine is certainly paying itself now. Already I have been getting a steady amount of payments for my PR3 web directory, and the phpLD script which I had paid for $25 as well as the customised template for $170 (prices are in US dollars, by the way) has certainly paid itself off…and with a small profit margin too 🙂

I am hoping that the web directory will have a higher PR in the next Google update, at the very least a PR5. It would certainly be ridiculous if all the hard work and effort in building up links to the web directory did not pay off. With a higher PR, I can certainly mark up the prices for the links.

I heard there’s companies based out of India that just specialize is submitting your sites to hundreds/thousands of web directories for a small fee. I would prefer reputable companies that people have actually hired for these purposes.

I would like to be able to look at a list of files and folders in a web directory. I found a bunch of clip-art type images on a site and would like to list the files in the directory they’re stored in to see if there are any other files there.

My Brother in Law has a tech blog where he offers advice and I was told the the Yahoo directory is the best one on the web but I couldn’t find any information about submitting a link for free and my brother in law has no interest in paying the $300 a year. It is kind of dumb if you ask me but what can you do? any advice??

After finishing a website: http://www.richforth.com, we want to put it into a famous web-directory, but don’t know how to do?
Is there anyone who could tell me the steps specificly?
our website: http://www.richforth.com is our own B2B platform that includes various goods from apparels to home products. Our goal is to make it as a one-stop sourcing center.
If so, what kind of web-directory should I look for?
      Any clues or tips?

I am looking for a company/servce/website that provides a hosted version of a sitebuilder kind of tool that can help me to create my own Web Directory and Search Engine which can act exactly like a Yellow Pages website and I am willing to pay as well.
