I currently have two cars, a Toyoya and a Galant. My auto insurance will be renewed starting Feburary 1st which is in in about 2 days. I really think I will sell both cars w/in the next few wks(Toyota has high mileage and the Galant uses alot of gas) for a more fuel efficient car like a Honda. Is it possible to change automobiles in the middle of a coverage period? I’m not sure how it works. This is my 1st time with my own insurance. Thanks for the clarification!

Many on here say that forced health insurance i sthe same as auto insurance, but how is that?

I do not need auto insurance if I do not own a car. I make that choice whether to drive or not. I do not get fined if I don’t have a car for not having auto insurance.

So in what way are these in any way the same?

I was in an auto accident and I have medical insurance. My medical insurance covered my medical expenses; however, I wanted to know if the auto insurance is still liable for those expenses? It seems as if my having medical insurance should benefit me and not the liable party’s auto insurance company. If I did not have medical insurance the auto insurance company would still have to pay for those expenses. So shouldn’t they still have to pay for those expenses and I get what ever is left that my medical insurance company did not pay? Are there any laws statures that back this up in Georgia? I am trying to settle this claim without getting an attorney and I need all the help I can get. Any advice would be helpful. I am in the process of writing a demand letter. Thanks for all the help.

I have been thinking of “loaning” my car (which I own) to my 87 year old father. I would then lease a vehicle for myself. Then at the end of the lease period (let’s say 3 years) if he is no longer driving, the car returns to me. Can he purchase auto insurance on himself and the car or does it fall upon me and my policy? My father has an excellent driving record and so do I.

**I don’t need quotes, I need printable proof of insurance**
I know The General offers instant proof of insurance by printing it straight from the internet, are there any other auto insurance companies that offer it?
I don’t want to know about quotes or estimates or any silly site about comparing prices.
I want to know what companies you can go to their site and print your insurance proof off of AT HOME so you can go driving asap.

I need a new auto insurance company, Allstate just raised my rates through the roof. But I don’t want it to be an unreliable company that will drop me for one little crack in my winshield. State Farm and all those companies are too expensive for me (I am a teenager and work part-time). I live in CA. Any suggestions?

I’ve heard that “performance” modifications can void an auto insurance policy. Is this true? If so, what is considered a void worthy mod?
I know that my coverage will only replace the parts to stock. Also, I’m planning on the following: CAI, headers & exhaust, short shifter, big breaks, ECU programing. When my shocks are due to be replaced i’ll probably take the opportunity to ride lower.

Is it possible to get auto insurance for a short period?

I need to get auto insurance for my vehicle just so I can get a movers permit for one day. The problem is that I don’t want 6 months of insurance nor do I need the car to be insured for more then a day so I can just have it transported. Is there anyway to a days worth of auto insurance?

Can you resume your auto insurance policy one it was canceled? ok it was canceled 5 months ago I wasn’t using the car so I didn’t need insurance at a moment. Now I am planning on using the car again. Can I just call them and ask them to send me a monthly fee and get insurance resumed or do I need to go to insurance place and talk to Insurance sales agent and pay $200 finders fee again? I don’t want to pay those fees again. Is there a way to resume my insurance without those extra fees. I am a California resident.

Do I call an insurance agent first, or the licensing bureau for a temporary permit of some sort, or what? Thanks

      Hello there,
I am wanting to obtain an auto dealer’s license in the state of Oregon, or a license that would allow me to bid on cars at a dealer’s auction; whatever license is the easiest to obtain and chepest is perfect. I have family who has done this in another state. I’m pretty sure I remember you have to get bonded for a certain amount too. Where can I go online or government-related office to get the information I need to begin applying for this licensure?
      Thanks
Or,… if could I get licensed in WA and still buy in OR? I am on the border of the two, but live in WA; most of the earby auctions however are in OR.
      Thanks.

Hi I am looking to get new auto insurance. I got a pretty big speeding ticket out of state ticket 06/2010. When doing the online quotes it says include tickets within the last 3 years I was wondering if I did not include this speeding would they know, or do they only do your motor vehicle record in the state your insuring your vehicle? My current insurance did not go up as of yet, but I want off my parents insurance because I am getting older (23). From the online quotes the difference in price a month with the ticket is about $40 more a month! Please don’t respond back with do the crime pay the time crap… keep that to yourself. Thanks

I was treated right after the accident for whiplash. It’s in my medical records but then was unable to go to treatment for some time because of other problems but injury got worse now the chiropractor won’t work on me because he says the insurance company won’t usually pay after this time loss. Also the auto insurance company won’t preauthorize treatment and I can’t afford the $30 a visit co-pay required for using my health insurance. I’m on Social Security.

Why is it a law here in North America to drive with insurance. The federal and provincial Insurance Bureaus regulate these policies and rates and rip people off. Sometimes I think insurance is another form of tax.

You can always take someone to the court to claim damages. Why is it that auto insurance is MANDATORY, it should be optional.

Here in Toronto, its so expensive.

I want to put major restrictions on my credit and personal info. Basically, I’m swamped by all of the credit report info online. Can someone tell me if it’s possible to block all access to my credit, only allowing checks to be done with my explicit permission? I want a phone call/email if someone is trying to check my info without my knowledge! Long story short- Someone used my information to get auto insurance quotes, and it has hit my credit like 20 times in the past few months! I need to STOP credit checks, not just be notified when they happen. Thank you for any advice!

My husband and I can no longer afford to stay with our current insurance agent. My 17 year old son is driving now and my auto policy tripled. We also insure our home through this company. In order to shop around and compare like to like, I need a recent copy of my home insurance (I have my auto). I really hate the idea of dealing with my agent again. Can I access it any other way?

Florida residents do you really think entering all your valuable personal information online for an auto insurance quote is really the safe way to obtain auto insurance?
A local personalized auto insurance agent who you can pick up the phone and call or stop by their office sounds so much safer and personal.

Hello all! I have fallen into the “high risk” category for auto insurance in Ontario and I need help in finding a company or companies that would be willing to sell auto insurance to me. I cannot seem to find any links on Google. Would anyone have the names of any companies that deal in auto insurance for high risk drivers? In terms of quotes, what are some quotes that anyone has personally experienced?
As for background information, I have no accidents (knock on wood…) and no DUIs. Just one too many traffic tickets :-(.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
