Various ways to monetise your traffic

Posted on Tuesday, April 1st 2008 3:28 pm by menj in Blogging, Internet Income, PPC

It is common knowledge that without traffic to our websites, we have no business. Like any business, without any customers you do not get sales. Traffic represents all the people that gets a chance to see what you have to offer, such as a website about rhinoplasty Beverly Hills, CA, for example. The more people who see your products the more people there would be to buy them. Nobody puts up an e-commerce site that does not earn any profit. We have a startup capital that needs to be regained. With a consistent traffic, we at least have a fighting chance to achieve that probability. Monetizing your traffic would optimize your chances of making the best out of it.

The best and most proven method of making a profit out of your traffic is using advertising. The internet generates hundreds of thousands upon hundred of thousands of traffic everyday. Most of them are searching for something. While some are just looking for information there is also a good percentage that is looking for something that they need. The internet has proven to be a very reliable source in finding what was deemed to be a very unsearchable product. The internet has made the world a smaller place; you can advertise a product from the depths of Istanbul and still find a buyer from the center of Philadelphia.

Getting into the blogging groove

Posted on by menj in Blogging

Blogs have increased their popularity over the past few months. Many people have started to create their personal blogs to express their various thoughts and feelings. Internet companies have also started their blogs to inform consumers on the latest product news and reviews ranging from various topics such as sports, health or even nursing home information. Because of this, blogs are also being used as internet marketing media. Before, internet marketing is done by placing banners and links on popular websites, such as news and information sites. Links were also included on newsletters and marketing letters sent to the members of their mailing lists. Many people spend time reading blogs. People read their friend’s blogs, their favorite author’s blogs, blogs on topics that they are interested in, and blogs on product reviews. With the increasing popularity of blogging, it is even feared that people rely on blogs to get the latest news.

While it is true to say that getting news reports from blogs are not totally reliable, some people do look for product reviews through blogs. In some cases, this is more dependable. While it is true that some media persons are being paid to write good reviews about a certain product, blog writers write about their actual experiences on products and services from a company. Since there are many people who read and start their own blogs, blogs are a good medium to market a product. With the increasing blog traffic means increase in product sales. Blog traffic can be increased by joining affiliate programs and sites, which will list your blog under a certain search category or name. You can also have your blog advertised in popular websites. This, however, will cost some money and is not advisable if you have just started blogging.

Basics of affiliate marketing

Posted on by menj in Affiliates, Internet, Internet Income

Affiliate marketing has many descriptions, yet all have the same meaning. Affiliate marketing is a huge business piece on the Internet and not as easy as showing before and after photos of nose surgery. It is a cooperative effort between merchants and an affiliate’s website. For many years now, affiliate marketing has proved to be a cost-efficient, measurable method of delivering long-tern results. It has become famous for Internet sites who are trying to make some extra or additional income for their site. Every day, people get interested to affiliate marketing and want to make money out of it. But in many cases, these new affiliates do not fully understand the affiliate world and make costly mistakes. In other words, affiliate marketing has often been misunderstood.

One of the common misconceptions that are being associated about affiliate marketing is “selling”, though selling is an important activity of affiliate marketing and the central function of a business operation. Another is that affiliate marketing is commonly linked with “advertising”. While the importance of advertising in marketing a certain product is not to be underestimated, the fact of the matter is, advertising like selling, is merely a part of the many functions of marketing

Yesterday can be turned into an advert

Posted on by menj in Blogging, Internet Income

Yesterday I was literally running around back and forth from the Immigration Department to the bank and the computer shop and then back again. I rewarded myself with a nice relaxing evening at Starbucks. So taking inspiration from the all-famous Mastercard advertisement, you can sum it up as follows:

Getting a Malaysian passport – RM300
Buying computer software – RM60
Applying for a Maybank VISA Debit card – RM12
A nice drink and sugar donut at Starbucks – RM18
Computer laptop – RM1999
Laying back on the sofa while chatting online with the girl you love – PRICELESS!

There are some things which money just cannot buy. For everything else, you have the moola to pay for even the services of a san diego contract attorney. Yeah, I have the money and I have no qualms flaunting it.

Back again with new hosting

Posted on by menj in Blogging

Blogging For Money is back up again after an unexpected server outage disrupted our server and caused a hard disk corruption which caused all data (including this blog) to be lost. So I did the rather hard and thankless task of reinstalling WordPress and restoring the previous database to the blog. Fortunately there is still a latest copy of this blog lying around, and although posts that were made before the server outage is now irrecoverable they were rather too unimportant to worry about. I have even decided to use a magazine-styled theme, Forte from Moses Francis.
