I’ve decided that I am going to merge all my online ventures into a single company. So I am going to the ROB on Monday to register my new company. Shouldn’t cost me too much, since it is only a company on paper. But after I have registered the company name, I will buy a new domain where I will display all my online ventures in a portfolio. Perhaps this whole thing is unnecessary, but since I deal with online clients all the time it would be good to show some measure of credibility, instead of the client seeing you as some random faceless stranger. I even have the company logo (see above). Actually the company name (founded in 1996) in the logo once belonged to my dad, but has now since become bungkus because of the Asian financial crisis of 1998 (and I blame Rafisuah Aziz for causing my father to go bankrupt).

Here is an interesting article which speculates that due to the lateness of this impending Google PageRank update, it is possible that Google might totally do away with it altogether. I am skeptical that this is likely the case, but I do agree that Google PageRank will be devalued somewhat by Google in order for websites to rank highly in SERPs. Google will certainly not remove that little green bar at the top which has benefited them for years, however.
Webmasters should now focus on getting traffic and doing advertising based on that, rather than relying too much on Google in order to enhance their websites authority.
So you want to host a website? That is easier said than done, of course. You need to purchase hosting space from a website hosting company so that you are able to store your website files and publish your content on the internet. Choosing a reliable website hosting company, however, is never an easy thing to do. Over the years, I have experience with various hosting companies and I can say that not all of them offer equal service. It depends really on how well they are run or how they are sensitive to their clients’ needs. I have had good hosting providers which I have loyally hosted my websites with and bad hosting providers which I’ve dumped years ago.

Its a very funny clip in Bahasa Melayu by two well-known Hong Kong actors (I’m guessing that the voice is dubbed), but I don’t get the conclusion. What the heck is GY?

It is really great when one takes a beautiful picture that you really like and wish to put it on display to show it to family and friends. I recently found such a picture, and I really wanted to display it on my table. Therefore I am thinking of having my digital photos framed. However, I do not think I would want to send my photos to the shop for printing as as apart from the prohibitive costs, I do care about privacy. I certainly would not someone to just see my photos and private moments captured on film.
So I am getting a digital photo frame that will be able to show my digital pictures directly from a memory card. All I have to do is to select the pictures, put it into the memory card and plug the card into a digital frame that can support reading from it, and all my pictures will be shown. Now that’s definitely something I will get for myself.
