What is cloud computing?
Confused about the term “Cloud Computing”? Want to be “with the times” when you talk about new technology buzzwords? I found this interesting video which explains it all.

The owner of a so-called “PPS Killer” blog aggregator recently visited to this blog threatening this blog owner with a “ban”. Unfortunately for him, Project Petaling Street has been modified to accommodate only blog pings. That makes it different from other standard installations of Pligg. Not trying to toot my own horn here, but PPS has many things which other blog aggregators (most especially a certain “PPS Killer” *snigger* hosted on a UK server) do not have.
Among its more interesting features are as follows.

There has been rumours swirling around after slides of a Yahoo! meeting was exposed, suggesting that delicious.com, a very well-known bookmarking service will be shut down. Naturally I was worried about the issue as I myself am an active delicious.com user as well. However, since the news was not officially from Yahoo! I decided to sit back and await an official confirmation. As it turns out, I was not disappointed. Yahoo! has finally come out with an official statement saying that they are not planning to shut down delicious.com, but will consider selling it instead.
No real reason for me to panic, after all. I will still continue using delicious.com until further notice.
A local blog aggregator once touted as the “PPS Killer” (I am not going to name it, since I don’t believe in bad-mouthing the “competitor”) has banned PPS’ feeds from their system. I wonder if they are afraid of the “competition”?

Frankly the only reason I added PPS’ feed to their aggregator is because I can. I don’t really think highly of their service, since it just republishes feeds automatically with no community participation attached to it. Not to mention that it loads really slow. But I consider it a compliment for PPS to be banned from their service. I think they must be afraid of the new PPS revamp. Truth be told, however, I never considered it to be a serious “competitor” to PPS, even when PPS was down for three months.

Instead of me having to repeat the same story, why not just visit Project Petaling Street and experience the new features that it has now? I am sure many of you who have used PPS before will be impressed with the new, radical changes.
These days, whenever I log into my PayPal account I tend to see this notice in the transition window.

Not sure whether this ego-thumping attempt from PayPal is supposed to flatter their users, but I for one am not. In fact it comes across to me as quite arrogant, considering the horror stories they tell about PayPal. Not that I have any problems with PayPal now….but c’mon, is this the impression you want to send out to your users?

Finally I did what I’ve always wanted to do for a very long time: start my very own SEO and Internet Marketing Forums. There were previous attempts made by myself in the past to work on a forum, but it was either put off or lay dormant due to other commitments at the time. Well now the timing could not have come at a better time, since I’ve decided to stay away from other forums for the time being to focus on developing and managing my forum.
So I hope that you will come and take a look at the forum, for as the slogan goes, “We Make The Web!”.
