I don’t do very well with the TLA programme, usually I am able to only sell one slot on three different websites (out of the five websites that I am eligible for TLA), so the income is understandably very low compared to PayPerPost or even Google Adsense. But yesterday I received the following good news from TLA.
Mohd Elfie Nieshaem,
We are excited to notify you we have sold a text link ad off http://www.noorullah.org!
To monitor your earnings login here:

You will receive these “Ad Sold” emails each time an ad is sold off your website. If you wish to turn these emails off and monitor your progress on your own, please click here to suspend these emails.
Thanks again for your participation and please let us know if we can help in any way!

That is of course good news, alhamdulillah. So now I have 4 slots sold in total. Well, the sales are certainly picking up for me after being static for more than six months. Hopefully it will improve in the coming months.
Thank you for visiting Blogging For Money. If you are a new visitor, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Enjoy!

TLA has announced their new text link ads program called Post Level TLAs. This feature is only useful for those with WordPress blogs. Once someone uses their plugin for WordPress, they will be able to sell additional Text Link Ads on the bottom of their most popular individual posts. This, I feel, is a good addition to the TLA programme, hopefully it will lead into increased advertisers and more sales for me.
Post Level TLA’s FAQ’s
- You will still have editorial control for each link purchased if you have opted for editorial control for your regular Text Link Ads.
- Pricing is set automatically and is lower on a per link basis then typical homepage placed Text Link Ads.
- No extra coding work for you, we sync all of your posts automatically with our new WP plugin.
- If you regular Text Link Ads are sold out you will now have new inventory to sell.
Those who are currently using TLA will need to upgrade their WP plugin with the new TLA WordPress plugin to get their site involved in this new product from TLA, certainly advertisers will love it.

I just snagged yet another advertiser, not for any of the other blogs, but for this less-than-one-month-old Blogging For Money through Nuffnang.
Hi Mohd Elfie Nieshaem,
Congratulations!
An advertiser has chosen to advertise on http://ibnjuferi.net
The advertisement details are as follows.
Campaign: xxxxx
Campaign Date: 15-Apr-2007 until 05-May-2007
Ad Unit: Skyscraper (Top)
Please do not remove the mentioned Ad Unit from your blog in this period of time or you will not be paid the full amount of the ad.
I consider it to be quite a coup for this blog since this means that there are more than 20 unique visitors who are frequenting this blog. It also means that the advertising campaign that I have put through Nuffnang is quite a modest success. I would have to consider increasing the weekly budget so that the blog would have a wider reach to its audience

So TMNet does a triple on me and my DSL light went off last night. I made a report and this afternoon they called me and told me that this is a problem affecting many areas in the Klang Valley. Yeah, right. If so, then why is this cybercafe I am in working fine with their internet access?
Sheesh, I just don’t get it.

Apart from services such as PayPerPost and Blogsvertise, I am also accepted into the Blog To Profit network. Unlike the other paid blogging services, however, you do not have to blog about the advertisers that Blog To Profit gives you the links to. All you have to do is to blog about whatever topic you are familiar with and include the advertiser link using the specified keywords. You are also not required to disclose that the post contained sponsored links since all you are doing is simply post links.
Their payout is $5 per link and for the initial postings they will give you 5 links to start off first. If they are satisfied with the work that you have produced, they will give you offers of up to 10 links. Now that is not bad at all, considering that they give out offers almost every week. I have already earned about $100 to date with them and they have recently started to offer me 10 links per offer. So if you have a blog with a high PR of at least 2, you should check them out.

I was thinking of getting a new desktop, but at first I thought of postponing that idea until the end of the year. After all, I need to have enough life-savings for future plans with…*ahem* I certainly can’t be thinking of blowing it on a computer when I have more important things to do with that money.
However that all changed after I saw this:

Just found out that Auntie Lillian of 5xmom.com has made mention of me and this blog. I would be lying if I say that I am where I am today without her inspiring writings, especially the ones about paid blogging and PayPerPost when she first started out. Yes, I first found out about PPP from her blog. I don’t think I would have known about it had I not come across her post mentioning it. It also so happens that this domain, www.ibnjuferi.net was also inspired in part by her Make$ Money$ blog, so again I owe her that much for the inspiration.
Anyway I am taking the opportunity to mention my RM1,000 Review My Blog contest. Here is your opportunity to get one thousand ringgit (yes, I’ll say it again: one thousand ringgit) if you review my blog and your post is selected as the best one among all the reviews. I have not been getting any submissions lately (my fault I guess…I haven’t been exactly promoting it) so I will release the current links that have been submitted to me as Batch 1 today. If there are others who submit later, they will become part of Batch 2.
