I’ve signed up with this get paid for blogging service called Smorty for several months now, and I am certainly making some money from it. Compared to another paid blogging service which I am engaged in, the offers that are available are not many but I did get two serious offers worth $24 each. Not bad for a company which, like its competitors, is a network where you can get get paid for blogging. Advertisers will pay bloggers for conveying their opinions about a product or service in order for bloggers to advertise on blogs.
I like the Smorty interface as it is intuitive and easy to use. Smorty states that they will pay bloggers every week after the job offer is approved, so that is something new that has not been done by the other paid to blog networks. And yes, they do pay me once every week. So occasionally I do get between ten to twenty dollars every two weeks or so from them. On the whole, the emergence of new paid to blog services like Smorty can only be good for the blog advertising industry as more companies offer people to blog for money.

I logged into the Blogitive control panel to finish off a job offer I took last night (it was still using the same old interface at the time) and was amazed at the new design of the interface.

Its a bit strange that they choose to change their interface on the same day I changed the interface for one of my websites, coincidence? Anyway, I like this new interface. Web 2.0 look, rounded corners buttons and now the text look more attractive and easier to read. Red is a nice colour, too.

Creamaid used to be quite popular in the early stages but became ridiculously slow a few months back, so much so that I stopped visiting it. Recently, however, I noticed that job offers are slowly picking up again and for the first time in four months or so, I got paid with Creamaid for some offers I did.

Its not much, but hey, who’s complaining?

I got two Blogitive payments sent to my PayPal today
Since the implementation of their new programme, I noticed that they are no longer sending eChecks and no PayPal fees were deducted from the payments. So instead of $4.00 something (with PayPal fees deducted), you get the full $5.00 for every post instead. Yay!
Plus, I’ve been getting so many offers from Blogitive that I am swamped with them. Good, right? Not really. It means that I am going to have to plan properly and organise the time needed to tackle each job offer provided.
But I’m really happy with these new developments. I’m raking in about $120.00 per week just from Blogitive alone.

I did two posts with Bloggerwave previously but I did not take any more opportunites (nor did I bother adding any more blogs) because I had thought that they were….well, suspicious. I had forgotten all about it until just now, when I got this pleasant surprise in my inbox.

$20 just dropped from the sky for me
Looks like I will have to seriously consider Bloggerwave as another source of paid blogging income now.

Blogging Ads is a new paid blogging service. Actually, they are not new. They have been around since November last year, but they relied on giving offers via e-mail and the maximum offers that you can take is two per blog. But now they have unveiled their new website, and the process is not only automated, but you can take as many offers that are available from them. You may have noticed some posts for Blogging Ads on this blog, I posted them here as an experiment.
Lets see whether they will keep their promise of paying bloggers on a weekly basis. If they do, I will certainly recommend this programme to bloggers. Don’t stop yourself from registering with them however.

Originally when I first started blogging in 2003, I did not really have the intention to earn money from it, nor do I regard it as a possible paid job. I already had a website before buying my second domain which did not generate any revenue (at the time there was not many opportunites to earnh from online advertising) therefore the idea to monetize your blog did not even come across my mind at all.
However, the launch of Google Adsense changed my view on how I look at websites and blogs. With Google Adsense, the power of online advertising was not to be denied. Then along came paid blogging which opened the floodgates and I found that what was supposed to be a past-time passion can also double up as a viable, self-sustaining profession. I have also begun to start diversifying my income stream so apart from Google Adsense and paid blogging, I am also into selling PageRank links and TLA, web directories and bid for position directories, and I am dabbling into affiliate products as well. Nuffnang is also showing some promise.
So I guess you could say that I am not totally dependent on one particular activity to monetise my blog. How do you monetise yours?
