PayPal and their new logo

PayPal has reverted their site “new” Beta look back to the old one as according to them, they are going to refine the Beta one before release. Received this in the inbox today:

Thank you for helping us test-drive our new homepage design and experience. Your participation was extremely important to us.

We received a significant amount of feedback and are now ending the beta in order to fine-tune our new homepage design. Stay tuned as we plan to introduce the new homepage shortly.

Sigh…not sure what they are going to “fine-tune” as it worked great to me. But PayPal made another change, they introduced a new logo!

Here is the previous one.

Now which looks better?

    1. I recently bought a ticket for a sold out event from a seller on Ebay. The seller had 100% positive feedback with over 100 transactions. I received the tickets in the mail about a week ago…as described and as far as I know legitimate (Held them up to the light/ used a black light to see ticketmaster logos on the back.)

Yesterday, the seller messaged me on Ebay – asking for the seat number on my ticket. He said he needed the information to help settle an issue with someone else he sold tickets to. In talking he told me that the other person he sent tickets to did not receive their tickets (lost in the mail.) Told me not to worry and sorry for the inconvenience.

Today he messaged me again and told me that the tickets I bought are now void – as Ticketmaster would not let him replace the single ticket he wanted to replace- but only the whole set he bought. He told me Ticketmaster was sending him new tickets and he would mail me my new tickets as soon as he got them.

Does all of this sound like common practice for ticketmaster? I know I can make a dispute on Ebay and Paypal…but I am just hoping I can get my new tickets and get into the event!

      Thank you!

    2. a-buy.org is the website I’m talking about.

reasons that I’m hardly able to trust its authenticity are:
-this website advertises in the comment boxes of free ads on karachi.olx.com.pk and that ain’t a decent way obviously.
-goods prices are “very low” you can check it for yourself.
-this domain is registered in the name of one person who may be a web developer.
-they even do not have their own email domain. they use “@live.com”
-this is a very new website, created on Aug,17 2010. while it says: © 2005-2011 a-buy Copyright, All Rights Reserved. that i know is a lie.

i fear to pay here because i simply don’t know how to check the authenticity of this store? and would it ship me my stuff or not? or may be this is just a website that can steal your money and then you can do nothing about it. ’cause anyone can make such a website with paypal logos on it and advertise in comment boxes.

how do you check authenticity of a online store? and thanks if you can check authenticity of this one for me?
look at the prices and tell me if they seem real to you?

PS. sorry if I’m being an idiot. I’m complete noob in online shopping.

thanks a lot for your kind help.

    4. I was recently voted as the first treasurer of a small political organization of which I am a member. The organization is fairly new, although it is widespread. It’s not really local as there are chapters throughout the U.S., but the overall membership is less than 100 people. At the moment, the leader has asked me to set up a bank account and a PayPal account, through which people may donate to the organization so that we can put the money towards tools to help us educate people in our communities about us. Well, I set up the PayPal account. It has already received a couple of donations from members.

Now I need to know what the laws are regarding that. Is it legal to accept these donations? Could I get in any legal trouble for having my name attached to this sort of thing? Do we need to file certain taxes? Our organization is very small, and I don’t expect the total donations to reach more than a couple hundred dollars at the very most.

Also, he promised a free t-shirt to everyone who donated, or they could buy their own t-shirt with our organization’s logo on it. I’ve found a website that allows me to design my own products with our logo on it, and then order them (VistaPrint). What are the laws for showing these products on our party’s website? The idea is that we will design the products and put pictures of them on the website. We will give people the option of buying them for a little bit over the price it costs us to order them, so we make a slight profit from it, or at least don’t wind up losing money in the process. Can anyone tell me if this is legal, or do we need some sort of license or permission to do this? While the website is public, it would primarily be organization members and not general consumers, we’re not marketing our products it would just be as an option for the members to purchase something with the organization logo to show their support of us.

I really want to be careful about this. As for the tax information, I did look it up on the IRS website, and from what I understood we would have to make at least $25,000 a year in donations in order to be taxed, because we are a political, non-profit organization, and we have yet to have any candidates run for any offices anywhere. However, the IRS website was frankly confusing, and I’m not entirely confident that I read that correctly.

Anyway, I really appreciate any advice or help anyone can give me, this is entirely new territory for me and I really don’t want to screw up! Thanks 🙂

    6. Being aware of the benefits of selling the dropshiiping companies’ or dropshippers’ products on eBay, I as an absolute beginner to selling the dropshippers’ products on eBay would now like if you could explain to me what exactly is the step-by-step process for starting to sell the dropshipping products on eBay.

My main questions are as follows:

      1) How and where to find legitimate dropshippers who would be willing to offer an enthusiastic eBay seller like myself the opportunity to sell their products on eBay?

      2) What does the contract between the dropshipper and the eBay seller include?

      3) What are the normal communication means between the eBay seller and the dropshipper once a prospective buyer wants to order and buy the dropshipper’s product from the eBay seller’s eBay auction page?

      4) How much (in percentages) does the eBay seller normally earn in commission on every sale made on their eBay auction page?

      5) How do the dropshipper and the eBay seller agree the technical issue of sharing the revenue on every sale made through the eBay seller’s eBay auction listing page? Does the percentage of the eBay seller’s well earned commission automatically go into the eBay seller’s PayPal account? What’s the best ecommerce set-up for both the merchant (dropshipper) and the eBay seller to fairly and correctly share the agreed revenue on every sale made on eBay?

      6) Are there any other obligations (required activities) that the eBay seller has to fulfill apart from just listing the dropshipper’s products on their eBay auction listing page?

      7) Does the dropshipper normally provide any help or assistance to the eBay seller in terms of providing the eBay seller with the desired description of the products, the photos of the products, templates of the dropshipping company’s logo, information on the shipping costs, etc.?

Whether you are an experienced dropshipper or an experienced eBay seller of dropshipping products, I would also like to invite you to contact me on my Skype: bruno.bb100

In advance many thanks for your kind help and guidance.

Best wishes for the New Year!

    7. Can I trust all websites that have the paypal logo on them or can someone set up a fake website and just register for paypal and get the pal verified logo on their site? I am new to online shopping so I am not to sure site to trust I hardly ever use ebay because I know it’s easy for someone to set up a fake account and sell things they do have.

    10. Well guys I’d like to purchase a domain name and web hosting to build my own website. I’d like to post a daily blog giving advice and tips to others, I also want to sell clothing on my website (like brand new shirts that I buy from stores and earn a profit), the website will include affordable advertising plans, maybe like a subscription to a monthly recipe dish for only $3 monthly, web design (layouts and logos), job searching help, etc. All of this on one website!!!!! I already know how to get traffic on my site so I don’t need help in that area. I just want to make sure that if I’m reselling stuff, is it illegal to do so????? I mean it seems like its gonna be a nice site. Can someone tell me if it sounds like I’m creating my own online business????? Do I have to file taxes for my earnings? Can I charge shipping fees to ship the clothes, shoes, jeans, and hats that I’ll be reselling? Also when someone purchases advertising space or a logo, is it ok for them to send me their info and I plug it into my PayPal account? How do I show receipts for my transactions, do I make them up??? What can I do???

    12. How can I change the PayPal account linked to my ebay sellers account? My buyer has submitted payment, but it went to an e-mail address that is not linked to any paypal account. I do have a paypal account, but don’t know how to verify my Ebay sellers account is linked to it.

    13. If I’m writing an article for the web about, say, Paypal, can I copy and paste the Paypal logo into the article (just to have something visual on the page)? Do I need permission to do that?

    14. I guess it was her credit card because now paypal is telling me I need to upgrade to accept this money and they are taking a fee for it.

Ive been selling on ebay for three months and anytime someone else sent me money via paypal, it went right through. I didnt have to upgrade and I got the entire amount.

      What does this mean?
lol how cute. once my other item sells, im done.

    15. I am buying my computer/PC parts off Newegg. I find it much easier to use Paypal than go through all kinds of forms and addresses for a bank account or debit card. I however do not have any paypal balance because I dont like transferring money into my paypal account. It takes much too long [5-6 Business days] I have a debit and bank account linked with my paypal account, will paypal automatically forward the payment to my bank account? Thanks!

    16. Hi I have never had a credit card before but I do have money on my Paypal account. How do I get a paypal credit card? I heard there’s a link you click and it’ll send in the mail in 2 weeks. And how does it work? Will it charge my balance in my account first until its all used up?
